How do you measure a year? I was surprised that I was 101 posts shy of posting daily. I have felt like I am more of what some might call a daily blogger, but if I'm missing 101, I guess I'm not.
Do you know what I did yesterday? Not all that productive but knowing that today was my blogiversary, I opened up my archive and read, skimmed, remembered most of this last year. What a fantastic hobby to have. I know there is a survey going on out there that gives you a percentage of how addicted to blogging you are. Pshaw. Some people like to shop. Some people like to do crossword puzzles. Some people scrapbook or quilt or sew or cook. Some people, probably a lot of you reading this, like to blog. I don't think it's a hobby to be ashamed of. I think it's an absolutely worthwhile hobby. 255 posts. Memories. My words. They will be there forever. My kids will know exactly what I said today on July 10th, 2007. So will my mother and father. So will my family and friends.
I'm proud to call myself a blogger. I know pride cometh before the fall, but I hope my pride doesn't come from "well....I'm quite the writer, if I do say so myself" but from more of the classic book "These Is My Words" but with better grammar.
I like my words. I like my life. I realized that I'm pretty consistent in who I am. I am a girl, who appreciates that parts of life can be pretty ridiculous. But I still love all of it. There have been some good days, some pretty crummy days and even some very boring days. While reading about those days, clear images poured into my mind as I could easily remember my mood, my outlook and even the things I didn't write about.
Here are some of my favorite posts from this past year. I didn't include some of the popular lists, like 100 things, which I love and are probably my absolute favorites but also already on my sidebar. I also didn't include any of the birthday tributes and birth stories that have been a joy for me to write and re-read. Some are memories, some are feelings, some are simply play by plays of my day.

I've said this before and I will say it again, yours is one I really look forward to reading. I can always have a good enjoyable thing to read clicking over to "Life Is A Spasm That Flows" and a catchy title too!
Congrats on a year of blogging. I am so glad you decided to do it. I have enjoyed going back on mine as well. I just have to hint to Doug that I want it printed so I have a hard copy of it. Woo hoo for so many posts!!! Here's to many many more. :)

Happy Blogiversary!!!! It is great to be able to review your life, look back and reflect. If it wasn't for blogging, I would probably only have about 3 pages written in my journal so far for the year.
I would also not be able to keep in close contact and still know what is going on in the life of friends who move away.

While I've missed the phone calls and the IM's and miss the lack of personal connection, I've loved reading your blogs and admire your writing and seeing the pictures.
