Follow The Leader

One of the perks of living in Jay's hometown is his knowledge of area trails. What might take months or years to discover for the typical newcomer, Jay has already tried, tested and organized into easy, medium or hard for the rest of us. No trail books for us!

He suggested a late-morning hike with the kids along an easy city trail. Eager for my own fund of knowledge, I happily agreed.

We all had a great time walking up the gentle slope to view the town below. Along the way, Sam collected leaves for an upcoming Kindergarten project, Seth talked non-stop about something (I forget) and Henry impressed me by walking the entire mile up just like his big brothers.

I really do love where we live. I love the access to the mountains, the opportunities for being outdoors and the variety of both to choose from. Mostly, I loved the time we spent together as a family doing something fun.

Heaven. Truly, you described it and the blue behind Jay in the last photo proves it.

What a great opportunity you guys are taking advantage of.

Go Henry!
