I love winter. I love snow. I really do.
I also love to travel.
The snow is ruining my plans. I want to be gone.
But, I also want to be.

We are getting dumped on today. Hope you get to travel soon. Where are you off to?
One thing I learned to love (eventually) when I lived in Alaska was the fact that the snow made *everybody* slow down and relax about less important things. Everybody was late when there was a big snowfall. Everybody disregarded shoe fashion in favor of big boots. Everybody had goofy hair.
So maybe just wanting to be is a good thing to want in the snow.
Ana had some godd thoughts on this wacky weather. I stayed in my jammies until 2:30pm, took a cat nap, a leisurely bath, and have read Kate more books than I can count. When the weather is sunny and perfect, I feel like I need to be out, running from here to there.
Sorry about your travel plans. I can honestly say I understand the bummer in this - it changed our CHristmas. But home and SAFE is a good thing, too!
Oh and I did mean GOOD! ;)
so where were you going to go ??
Wow, that was like a poem or something.
So are you coming to see me or what??!
Hey...if this counts as poetry I'll take it. That genre of language has always been a mystery to me. Thanks for the vote of confidence.
We (the boys and I) are trying to get to Durango. Sorry. Thanks for the guilt, though:)
I'm sorry the snow is foiling your plans, winter is not a good time to travel. Snow like this is great for hibernating at home in the cozy with a book.
Snow is lovely, but its ability to hamper the best of plans is an equal level of frustrating, I'm sure. Hoping you find a place in the Be...
It's still snowing?? What in the world? You could always hop a plane and come to the land of the sweating--ha.
I guess this means more reading time eh?
Sorry, we had so much today, over 22 inches in one day! Ugh! I am tired of shoveling...lol!
I hope you can dig out and go have some fun! :)
If you decide to go i could send you my portable potty!
Have a good time in Durango if you ever get there! That portable potty idea is great! Just give everyone some sleepy meds and take it reeeaaalll sssllooww!! Be safe!
we haven't had much snow so far but sure enough the day we had the worst weather so far this year, was the day my mom was coming for The Nutcracker girls day.
Glad to hear it went well, once you finally left!
