Blah

Man...relieve some pressure and all you're left with is a flaccid, lifeless Lucy. I have a serious case of the blahs today. I'm cold, sick of winter, lonely, tired AND have greasy hair (I really need to get in the shower). Jay is gone all week in San Fransisco. Henry is coming down with yet another cold. (SERENITY NOW!) I have choir practice every night this week except tomorrow night when I have a Financial Peace class at the church and then book group. I'm co-in charge of Seth's class Valentine's Day party on Wednesday afternoon which means cupcakes need to be baked and frosted, hearts need to be cut out and valentines made out. I need to go grocery shopping. I need to get our cash out and put into envelopes. Utah needs a certified copy of Jay's birth certificate and copies of his med school diploma which I need to go make. I have a concert on Friday night and need to find a way to pick Jay up from the airport. Jen and Christopher are coming this weekend which makes me wish that my house was more orderly. I need to help Seth start his science fair project that is due next Wednesday, and I have several phone calls to make which I'm dreading. Mostly because they involve me backing out of something (I can't go to stake musical practice on Thursday night, I'm turning down a nice lady wanting me to join an adult soccer league, I need to find a substitute to play the piano in primary that I said I'd sub for because I want to sit with my sister in church).

My brain feels like it is in slow motion. Yet I feel almost panicky at the same time. Send some cheer my way, please.

Welcome to the greasy hair club! Who has time to shower???

I'm sending cheer via coomiseration. I'm in the same boat - Andrew's out of town this week, I have tons to do for the Valentine's parties, I need to help with science projects, etc. Plus, I'm trying to get out of town on Thursday. All this may infringe on the highlight of my month (book group!)

Best way to get rid of the pressure is "just do it!" Once you start checking things off, you'll feel lots better. Wish I could help you too. Good luck.

I'm feeling really blah today, too. I feel so bad that you have such a busy week. Don't stress about us coming and if you need to be in primary, then it's o.k. Sending you some cheer:)

It's always when the dad is out of town that kids get sick and the calendar fills up.

Man your week totally bites and you are well deserving of a pity party! Milk it!

Sending you sunshine and energy vibes!

Extreme BIG hugs from the lovely state of Texas is sending your way ASAP. Ah, Lucy your week sounds jam packed and without extra help--wish I was closer to help. I could make the cupcakes, afraid I couldn't sub for you umm I can play Mary had a little lamb though.

This is when I wish I could wiggle my nose and say hey it's Saturday!! I am afraid I don't have any bewitched in me though. Hope the blah's and the sickies lift soon :)

If I could play the piano for you I would. Hopefully you will think of someone who would love to play for you. I seriously can't believe how busy your week is. Seriously there couldn't be any more packed into it. I just decided today that none of my kids are doing the science fair. I just couldn't handle three projects. I went and did all my shopping for the valentine's parties tonight.

Hey Babs,

I hope I am not a day late and a dollar short as usual! I feel for you and hope tomorrow (which is actually today) is better! I was so bummed to read about your move, but at the same time really excited for you and your family to be headed in the direction you want to go! I know that life is so crazy, just to have some certainty as to what is going to come next is such a relief, so don't worry about me! Hee Hee
