As Sammy has been saying all day, "This has been a great Christmas!" We had a wonderful time last night with Cousins at Aunt Peg's and Uncle Darren's that involved acting out the nativity story, eating yummy soup, playing games and eating rice pudding with one of the bowls containing a hidden almond whose bowl owner wins a prize. The roads were horrible and we wondered if we were being smart traveling in such poor conditions, but as nothing bad happened, we are really glad we went.
We got home at 9:30 and gave the boys their Christmas pajamas. I love matching my boys, and I thought these stripes were really cute. The boys went to bed and the grown-ups got to work wrapping presents while watching A Christmas Carol. We were ready for bed around 1:30 am and hoped that this year, none of our kids would wake up early.
They didn't and slept until 7:40 when we all went downstairs and watched them play with their gifts from Santa and then dug into the rest of the gifts. We had a big yummy breakfast, played some new games, and have mostly been enjoying the Wii for the rest of the day. I'm satisfied that it will be a great family activity.

Rex and Bekki sent us perfect gifts. Bronco stuff for the boys and some hilarious gifts that don't really need to be shown for me and Jay.
Sigh - but what's Christmas day without the mess?
We're having so much fun with the Wii. I'm a really bad at baseball and bowling though. Jay got me an 80's cartridge with 150 additional songs for my Karaoke system. When the TV gets a free moment, I'll throw on my ripped sweatshirt, moon boots and parachute pants and sing to my hearts content.

Love the boys pjs. So cute!! Sounds like we are the only people on the planet who don't have a wii. But we own some really cool new snowboarding pants...does that count?

The Wii was a huge hit here, too, although I haven't personally tried it yet. The kids have promised to put it on the easiest setting possible so they can initiate me in the ways of Dance Dance Revolution tomorrow.
Yay for the 80s karaoke, but please, as your friend, I'm begging you. Not the moon boots.

So, perhaps I missed this, but from reading your post below -- are you originally from Montana? (driving to West Yellowstone) I'm from Bozeman. But, my family moved to Mesa, AZ for my jr. high and high school years (how I know Amy S. and April), and then moved right back to Bozeman. Anyway, maybe not, but I just had to ask!
The Wii was a huge hit here as well. My kids are in their right now...all four of them...playing doubles tennis. So fun.

I had no idea that everyone was getting a wii either. Well, I knew a lot of people were, since they were impossible to find, but I figured everyone was having the same problem was me. But, apparently, we bloggers are a resourceful group of women! I'm excited for you snowboarding pants, Jenny. That just means you'll want to use them and as there isn't much skiing in your part of the world, you'll have to come to mine:)
Kelly! I am from Montana. Not Bozeman but Helena. Go Capital High Bruins! But I love Bozemen, even though it's been taken over by Hollywood. Such a pretty place and even better skiing. Plus, Bozemen get's the traveling operas that my mom would always take us to each year. What a fun connection! My montana connections are limited.

Helena! We used to drive to Helena to shop at Herberger's' just for something a little different. I bought my wedding dress at some sort of Montana gift shop with a tiny tiny wedding dress room in Helena. How fun to have that connection!
We got a Wii too!! The kids arms were sore for three days from playing tennis. I love the stash on the floor, it looks like the kids made out pretty well!
