I had a great weekend with Jen this last weekend when she came to visit for her birthday because she needed a "sister fix". She brought her eldest son, Ansel, which was such a treat for my boys. As a sister, I happily accommodated her and we spent the weekend enjoying being walking buddies, shopping together and she gave me a reason to go to all of her favorite restaurants. We went to a movie (Penelope - it's cute), played games and rocked the karaoke. Jay provided the babysitting for all of the extracurricular activities and was a great sport to hang with a room full of sisters.
Outside the Cheesecake Factory. Such a long wait, but without kids and sisters to chat with, it's manageable.
Sarah and I gave Jen a bracelet designed by Dana at Charmed Designs(who totally whipped this up in a few hours time to meet my custom request. Very professional). Thanks for making the effort Jen! I hope you had a great birthday and I miss you already!

Thanks for a fun filled weekend! It was such a nice weekned and I definitely got my fix. Love ya!
Oh so jealous. Looks like it was a blast.
You all look great and I can't wait to see all of you!
I love sister fixes... so glad you got one!
Glad you had a fun weekend together!! Isn't it crazy how annoying sisters are while growing up and then once you are all adults they are so much fun? :)
I want in on the fun. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone soon! I need a break from everyday life and the kids can't wait to see their cousins.
How fun for you! Oh, I want to be with my sisters so much!
And lucky Jen to get a Dana creation! Good job Lucy!
That makes me so happy for you guys that at least some of you were able to get together. Looks like a successful weekend karaoke and all! Hope it was a great birthday for her.
How sweet! Makes me miss my sisters. So glad you got to have some girl time. I'm sure it is needed in a house of boys! :)
Oh, that the Pat Benetar photo had been accompanied by a sound clip! My evening would have been complete.
Do you know I have NEVER heard you sing???? I have heard you talk about singing. I have heard others talk about what a beautiful singer you are. But my ears have never been blessed with the sound. I think that needs to change. May I be the first to humbly request a singing video????
I'm a huge Dana fan, too!
But after reading your post, I am feeling the need for a sister-fix...but mine all live in other states. :(
I'm so glad you got to hang out with your sisters and a night beating Pat Benetar...sounds like a very memorable weekend.
There is nothing like hanging out with sisters. I really miss not being closer to mine. Looks like all of the elements--good food, shopping, chick flicks, more great food, and karaoke--for a great sister's weekend were there.
Glad you had such a great time!
My Chloe does the same intense eyebrows thing as you when she karaoke's. You are lucky to have so many sisters!
How fun!
I don't have any sisters. Poor me.
We went to the Cheesecake factory last weekend also.
YUMMY!
We went for lunch and got there early, so the wait wasn't too bad. (yet still quite a wait for lunch)
What a great little weekend. When my sister comes to visit it is a whirlwind that ends too quickly :)
Wow! Didn't know you had so many sisters. Am wondering, if the bond between brothers will be as intense as your sister bonds seem to be? I have one sister. While growing up, I was close to all three brothers, but not at all to my sister. Now, two of the three brothers don't feel close at all, but my baby brother and my sister are both close. Unfortunately, they are only close emotionally (we are all in different states, physically). My boys seem to have a great bond. I guess time will tell.
PS - Man, you read a LOT!!!!!!
